Dr Katherine Budge DVM MANZCVS - Senior Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian

Kate graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2015. Following this she went to the USA for a rotating internship in Northern Virginia followed by a surgical internship in southern Florida. She then decided emergency work was for her, and transitioned into an emergency role at the same multidisciplinary hospital in Florida. She returned to Australia in late 2020 and worked at a busy GP clinic, prior to starting at CARE in 2021. She passed her membership exams in emergency and critical care in 2023, and has taken a role in formal intern teaching and supervision. She enjoys treating toxicities, ocular and orthopaedic emergencies, heat stroke and brachycephalic patients.
